Free of Charge: Giving and Forgiving In a Culture Stripped of Grace

by Miroslav Volf

In our increasingly graceless culture, where do we find the motivation to give?  And, how do we learn to forgive when forgiving seems counteractive or even futile?  Volf draws his reflections from Paul’s vision of grace and Martian Luther’s interpretation of this vision, and encourages us to echo God’s generous giving and forgiving in our own lives.  This book was the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lenten book study in 2006, and has found continual relevance and readership since then.
